Putin had a telephone conversation with the President of South Korea

The leaders exchanged congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states.

The parties positively assessed the development of bilateral ties over the past 30 years and expressed "mutual disposition to further deepen cooperation."

"Vladimir Putin and Moon Jae In spoke in favor of establishing substantive cooperation between the two countries in the health sector, including combating the spread of the new coronavirus infection and developing vaccines," the statement said.

In addition, the presidents reaffirmed their commitment to a politico-diplomatic settlement of the problems of the Korean Peninsula.
