Svetlana Alexievich, Nobel Prize in Literature and member of the Coordinating Council of the Belarusian Opposition, has left the country for Germany.

According to his assistant, Tatyana Tyurina, heard by Tut.by, Alexievich left Belarus for "personal and work related" reasons.

"She is planning meetings, a book fair in Sweden and in Sicily she will be given an award," said Tatiana.

However, his return to Belarus will depend "on how events evolve here and on his state of health".

Of the seven members of the Coordination Council Presidium, five have been arrested or taken abroad by force and only Alexievich and a member of the MTZ strike committee, Sergei Dylevsky, are free.
