“RDIF announces the delivery of the first batch of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine to the Republic of Belarus,” RIA Novosti reports.

As noted, Belarus became the first country in which clinical trials of this vaccine were launched.

“On October 1, in the Republic of Belarus, vaccination of volunteers will begin as part of a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study of the Sputnik V vaccine in the country,” the fund added.

RDIF is funding this clinical study involving 100 people.

On September 17, it became known that the Ministry of Health of Belarus received a package of documents for a clinical trial of the Sputnik V vaccine.
