Paris expressed deep concern over the ongoing clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as over reports of civilian casualties.
"France calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a return to dialogue," the French Foreign Ministry said.
The report says that France, as the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, "together with its Russian and American partners, reaffirms its commitment to achieving an agreed and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with international law."
Earlier, the Kremlin called for an immediate end to hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
