28 September 2020 After exceeding 16,000 daily infections and then falling to 15,797 and 14,412, the number of new positives in

yesterday dropped to 11,123 but the decline is due to the usual end-of-weekend count, limited due to the closure of the private analysis.

The positive rate continues to rise day after day, reaching 7.4% from 5.7% a week ago.

The number of hospitalized for Covid-19 is constantly increasing, with 102 new admissions in 24 hours.

There were 786 admissions to intensive care, 23 more than on Saturday. 

Bars and restaurants in Marseille and Aix-en-Provence have been closed since Sunday evening.
