Abu Dhabi Police seized 573 thousand tablets of Captagon

Abu Dhabi Police arrested a four-person Asian gang that tried to sell 573,000 Captagon pills in an operation called "Watching Eyes."

Colonel Taher Gharib Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate in the Criminal Security Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, revealed that the operation began with the arrival of classified information about the existence of a gang that seeks to promote a large amount of narcotic substances in the various emirates of the country and that one person is the one who runs the gang from outside the country.

He added that the security plan to arrest the gang focused on removing all its members in the act of dressing in the same timing, to prevent some gang members from escaping from punishment.

The plan was able to overthrow the gang formation and seize some quantities of drugs in their possession, along with the rest of the quantities that were directed by the gang members after they admitted their action, and then complete the legal procedures against them and refer them to the judicial authorities.

He added that Abu Dhabi Police attaches great importance to combating drugs due to their severe negative effects on society and is keen to overcome obstacles and challenges in order to limit their spread and control those involved in promoting these dangerous toxins on young people.
