On the same day, Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, held a military parade and mass celebrations.
In his speech on Independence Day, Turkish President Berdymukhamedov stated that independence is the unshakable foundation of the country's prosperity and the source of power for national construction, national unity and the realization of great development goals.
He emphasized that the Turkish government pursues active domestic and foreign policies aimed at promoting social and economic development, which will comprehensively consolidate the country's independence.
At the military parade held that morning, the Turkmen Armed Forces demonstrated advanced weapons and equipment.
After the military parade, a float display and a mass parade were held to showcase the latest development achievements in the fields of energy, chemical industry, textiles, transportation and agriculture.
