China News Service, Beijing, September 26 (Reporter Zhou Rui) The reporter learned on the 26th that four 220,000 m3 LNG (liquefied natural gas) storages independently designed and built by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CNOOC) The tank was successfully raised in Yancheng, Jiangsu. This is the largest single-tank LNG storage tank project in China, and it is also the largest LNG national reserve base built at one time in China, marking a new level of core construction technology for LNG storage tanks in my country.

According to Li Feng, the person in charge of the Jiangsu LNG project of CNOOC, the pressure rise of large-scale LNG storage tanks is equivalent to that of the roof. It is the construction with the most technical difficulty and the highest safety factor in the construction of the tank.

It is understood that the 220,000 m3 storage tank that was raised this time set the previous record for the largest volume of domestic LNG storage tanks.

Compared with the conventional 160,000 m3 storage tank, the weight of the 220,000 m3 storage tank dome has increased by 30% and the area has increased by nearly 1,000 square meters, which is equivalent to removing the "Big Mac" with an area equivalent to a football field and weighing 940 tons from the ground. Use air pressure to reach high altitude.

Due to the large span, long diameter of the tank, low horizontal rigidity, and complex natural vibration modes of the storage tank structure, currently only South Korea and Japan have more than 220,000 cubic meters of LNG storage tank construction experience in the world.

Zhang Chao, head of the CNOOC LNG storage tank design team, told reporters that in the design and construction of the 220,000 m3 LNG storage tank, CNOOC successfully solved the design problems of large-span structural stability, seismic design and other super-large storage tanks. , Becoming one of the few design and construction parties in the world who master the core technology of LNG storage tanks.

In order to realize the independent development of storage tank design and construction technology, CNOOC established a technical team in 2009 to start research on LNG storage tank technology.

Through technological innovation, we have successively completed the design and construction of Tianjin LNG 30,000 m3 LNG storage tanks, Fujian LNG, Zhejiang LNG and other 160,000 m3 LNG storage tanks, realizing the historical breakthrough of my country's LNG storage tank independent technology from scratch. One of the few countries in the world that can carry out the design and construction of large-scale LNG storage tanks.

The successful topping of Jiangsu LNG 220,000 m3 LNG storage tank opened the prelude to the construction of my country's super-large LNG storage tanks, making super-large storage tanks the main force in the construction of my country's LNG storage base.

As a key project in the construction of the national natural gas production, supply, storage and marketing system and a 10-million-ton-level LNG storage base deployed by CNOOC in East China, the Jiangsu LNG project started construction in May 2019 and is expected to be put into operation in 2022.

After completion, the Jiangsu LNG project will become my country's largest LNG storage base, greatly improving my country's natural gas emergency peak shaving capabilities.

The continuous supply of clean energy through pipelines, tank containers, tank trucks, tank ships and other means to East China and central provinces and cities can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 75 million tons per year, which is equivalent to planting 20 million trees per year. This is to accelerate my country’s energy transition and the Yangtze River. The development of the economic belt provides more green and clean energy to help build a beautiful China.

CNOOC Chairman Wang Dongjin said that the successful topping of Jiangsu LNG 220,000 m3 storage tank is an important achievement of CNOOC's practice of green development concept.

CNOOC will take this opportunity to actively develop the core technology research and development of super-large LNG full-capacity storage tanks, and further promote the design and construction of the world's largest 270,000 cubic LNG storage tank, in order to accelerate the construction of my country's natural gas production, supply, storage and marketing system and energy structure Transformation provides a strong guarantee.
