Regarding the impact of the new coronavirus on women's employment and livelihoods, the Cabinet Office has set up a new study group of experts to analyze the actual situation and issues and reflect them in future policies.

The spread of the new coronavirus has a greater impact on women with many non-regular workers, and there are concerns about hiring and reducing income, as well as an increase in DV = domestic violence.



Under these circumstances, the Cabinet Office is a study group made up of 10 experts, including university professors, economic experts, and medical professionals who study gender disparities in the impact of the new corona virus on women's employment and livelihoods. Will be newly established to analyze the actual situation and issues.



The first meeting of the study group will be held on the 30th, and the policy is to reflect the results of the study in the 5th "Basic Plan for Gender Equality" to be implemented over the next five years.



Regarding the establishment of the study group, Mr. Hashimoto, the minister in charge of women's advancement, said, "I would like to know the details of women's employment and child-rearing, and firmly link what I noticed to the policy."
