According to reports from many Iranian media on the 27th, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released a new type of ballistic missile equipped for the navy with a range of more than 700 kilometers.

It is understood that the ballistic missile named "Zolfaqar Basir" (Zolfaqar Basir) is called the latest version of the "Persian Gulf" missile, with a range of more than 700 kilometers, and its warhead is equipped with an optical guidance system.

Previously, the ranges of the Revolutionary Guard Navy’s "Persian Gulf" and "Hormuz" missiles were 300 kilometers and 250 kilometers, respectively.

In addition, it is reported that the "Zorfagar" version of the surface-to-surface missile has a range of 750 kilometers.

In Syria in 2018, it was used as a battlefield against terrorist organizations. In January of this year, it was used by Iran to attack the Assad US military base in Iraq.

For some time, Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized that Iran will not hesitate to strengthen its defense and military capabilities, including its missile research and development capabilities, and that Iran will not fear any provocation from the enemy.
