During a press conference Sunday evening, Emmanuel Macron castigated the inability of the Lebanese political class to form a government, following the crisis triggered by the double explosion that ravaged Beirut, and this contrary to the commitments that had been made in September.

Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday that he had "taken note of the collective betrayal" of the Lebanese political class after its failure to form a government, contrary to the commitment it made in early September.

The Lebanese parties "bear full responsibility" for this failure, and "it will be heavy", added the French president during a press conference in Paris.
