China News Service, Beijing, September 27 (Li Hanxue) The 2020 Beijing-Taiwan Community Development Seminar was held on the 27th in Beijing and Kaohsiung, Taiwan via video connection.

With the theme of "Beijing-Taiwan Communities Working Together to Fight the Epidemic on Both Sides of the Strait", the seminar invited experts, scholars, grassroots practitioners and community residents in community governance, planning and design on both sides of the strait to share experiences and stories of grassroots epidemic prevention and community governance.

The event will have a main venue and a branch venue in Xicheng District, Beijing and Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The four venues echoed and interacted instantly.

In the guest speech session, a Kaohsiung city chief said that Chinese culture emphasizes the spirit of benevolence. People starve and drown themselves, support each other and move forward hand in hand.

Both sides of the strait are descendants of Yan and Huang, and both have a consensus derived from China's fine traditional culture. Therefore, they gathered together to discuss epidemic prevention together.

Another Taiwanese guest who went to Beijing and Shanghai many times last year to participate in community exchanges said that it is regrettable that the epidemic has forced many cross-strait exchanges to be interrupted.

I hope that the epidemic will pass sooner, and I will bring my friends from Taiwan to meet my friends in Beijing.

In any case, non-governmental exchanges between the two sides of the strait will not be interrupted.
