Harshly attacked by

, leading to the opening of an investigation for "racist insults" against the weekly, the rebellious deputy of Paris, Danièle Obono, received the support of the municipality of Stains.

A fresco in his effigy was produced in the town of Seine-Saint-Denis.

"The Republic is us too", it is written alongside a Danièle Obono with the Phrygian cap, revolutionary symbol, and raised fist.

The deputy for Paris was "made up" as a slave by

in a recent "summer fiction" published by the weekly close to the far-right, sparking a wave of indignation.

Freedom.

Equality.

Fraternity.

An honor and a pride.

This fresco, reports

Le Parisien

, is an initiative of the Communist mayor of this red bastion, Azzedine Taïbi, himself a victim of racist insults.

He was surrounded by the bench and the communist backbench of the sector, but also by deputies from rebellious France.

Danièle Obono was of course also present.

Stains had already stood out before the summer with another fresco, in tribute to Georges Floyd and Adama Traoré, whose faces were surmounted by the inscription “against racism and police violence”.

A message that sparked the ire of the Minister of the Interior and the police unions.

The prefecture had asked the town hall to delete the term "police".

She preferred to replace it completely.
