[Report File] North Korea, "Territorial Invasion…Announcement of another unsavory incident"

North Korea announced its position a day after the Blue House asked North Korea to further investigate the murder of an officer in the fishing industry.

The main contents of the report by the Chosun Central News Agency released under the title "Warning the South Korean authorities" are as follows.

△ In relation to this incident, the South was informed of the entire incident, and necessary safety measures were reinforced to prevent this from happening further.

△ We are searching in the southwest sea, and we are thinking of handing over the body to the south if it is acquired.

△ The South is mobilizing several ships for search operations and is invading the waters of the North, and such actions are causing North Korea's alertness and predicting another unsavory incident.

△ It doesn't matter what search operation the South does in its territorial waters, but the invasion of North Korea's territorial waters can never be overlooked and it is strictly warned.

△ Demand that the South immediately stop trespassing on the maritime military demarcation line in the West Sea, which could create new tensions.

It may be strange to argue that our ships have invaded North Korean territorial waters, but the facts are as follows.

After this incident, the South Korean military and the Coast Guard are mobilizing many ships and aircraft in the sea near Yeonpyeong Island to search for the missing person.

Just yesterday (26th), 12 seamen, 16 naval vessels, 8 fishing guidance vessels, and 5 aircraft (one seascape, four navy) were mobilized for the search.

However, in September 1999, North Korea unilaterally declared that it was the'Chosun West Sea Maritime Military Demarcation Line' through a special report by the Ministry of General Staff and insisted that it would exercise its right to self-defense in the waters.

According to North Korean claims, the sea near Yeonpyeong Island enters North Korean waters.

Claiming that North Korea has invaded their territorial waters is an extension of this claim.

North Korea warned of invading territorial waters and other unpleasant things, there may be actions such as armed demonstrations near Yeonpyeong Island where search operations are taking place.

However, rather than that, today's announcement by North Korea seems to be more focused on not saying anything about this incident.

With Chairman Kim Jong-un's apology, we have done everything we could do, so we should stop raising concerns with North Korea.

It means that the Blue House virtually rejected the'extra-investigation and joint inter-Korean investigation if necessary' that the Blue House brought to North Korea yesterday.

It also means that we will ask about the'killing of civil servants and burning the body' as determined by the Ministry of Defense.

The'additional investigation of North Korea' raised by the Blue House yesterday was a level that was sufficiently acceptable for North Korea as well as asking the North to investigate itself again.

It was because they could respond by saying that they would investigate again and notifying the results similar to the previous one.

However, the Korean government's position became perplexing as North Korea put a block in saying it would not even do this.
