September 26, 2020 Matteo Salvini assures that he has no health problems, denying the rumors born in the light of his speech on the stage of a political event in Formello, near Rome, where the Northern League leader made his debut by explaining that he was "a bit sore , a little feverish but I wanted to be here ".

And it is controversy.

"The day did not start very well - Salvini told the Formello audience, apologizing for the delay -. I was attached to cortisone for two hours, when I got up the doctor told me 'You obviously go home now'. I told him 'Yes, do not worry, I pass first from Anguillara Sabazia, then from Formello and end up in Terracina, but in the evening I arrive home ".

The former Minister of the Interior, after reading some press interpretations, clarified: "I never had a fever, did a test on Covid yesterday morning, negative. I have a stiff neck like millions of Italians and I took cortisone. Some journalists at least avoided to speculate and lie about the health of others ".

Criticism, however, is inevitable.

"The rules and respect are valid for everyone - protested the leader of the Pd group in the Senate, Andrea Marcucci -. Even for party leaders. Even for Matteo Salvini. Do you have a fever? Stay home, don't go to rallies around Italy, without a mask ".

Same line for the Renziana Giusy Occhionero who asks for controversy: "Are thermometers valid for children but not for Salvini?".
