  • The wearing of the compulsory mask is extended to 16 municipalities located in the outskirts of Toulouse.

  • From Monday, the bars will close at 10 p.m., restaurants will be able to remain open until midnight on weekdays and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.

  • From this Saturday, all the gatherings of a festive and family nature bringing together more than 30 people, organized in multipurpose rooms or party rooms throughout Haute-Garonne.

    And in 17 municipalities, as of Monday, these meetings are completely prohibited.

On Wednesday, Olivier Veran, the Minister of Solidarity and Health, announced that the metropolis of Toulouse was classified in an “enhanced alert” zone due to the circulation of the coronavirus.

A situation confirmed by the figures published by the Regional Health Agency, which between September 16 and 22 show an incidence rate for the Metropolis of 218.8 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a figure which s' rises to 330.6 cases just for the city of Toulouse.

With the particularity of reaching peaks in the young population with 564.6 cases for the 20/30 age group in Haute-Garonne.

The prefect of Haute-Garonne decided to take this Friday "strong measures to stop the circulation of the virus" by prefectural decree.

Extended mandatory mask wearing

Since August 21, wearing a mask is compulsory in the streets of the Pink City for all people aged 11 and over.

From this Saturday, this measure to limit the spread of the virus is extended to 16 municipalities located in the direct periphery of Toulouse.

This is now also the case in Colomiers, Tournefeuille, Blagnac, Plaisance-du-Touch, Cugnaux, Balma, Castanet-Tolosan, Saint-Orens-de-Gameville, Labège, Aucamville, Launaguet, L'Union, Portet-sur- Garonne, Ramonville-Saint-Agne, Auzeville-Tolosane and Quint-Fonsegrives.

A mandatory measure between 7 a.m. and 3 a.m. on public roads and applicable until October 10 inclusive.

Bars closed at 10 p.m., restaurants not

As of this week, bars and restaurants had to close at 1 a.m. instead of 2 a.m.

As of Monday, in the 17 municipalities already concerned by the compulsory wearing of the mask, the closing time of the bars is set from 10 pm to 6 am. Restaurants and cabarets are authorized until 1 am of the following morning for evenings of Friday and Saturday and until midnight the other days of the week indicates the prefecture.

In these places, the sale and consumption of strong alcohol is prohibited from 10 p.m., wine or beer remains authorized after this time if accompanied by a meal.

The sale of alcohol to take away is no longer authorized between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and consumption on public roads between 1 p.m. and 6 a.m. either.

Goodbye birthday parties, festive or family gatherings organized in establishments open to the public are also prohibited for a period of 15 days, until October 10 from Monday, in the 17 municipalities of the agglomeration concerned. .

In the rest of the department it is authorized, but on condition that it does not exceed the maximum 30 guests.

No indoor sport for adults

It is no longer possible to attend gatherings of more than 10 people on the public highway or in places open to the public, with the exception of demonstrations "of a protest and professional nature" or even funeral ceremonies.

Guided tours organized by people holding a professional card are still possible.

On the other hand, sports activities organized in covered establishments open to the public, including in sports halls, gymnasiums, multipurpose rooms and indoor swimming pools, are prohibited for adults.

The activities of school groups, extracurriculars or minors, as well as professional and high-level athletes remain authorized.
