The sports halls and gymnasiums of the Lille metropolis had to close their doors on Friday evening for at least two weeks.

At the Arbonnoise badminton club, managers criticize too tight a timing, and amateur athletes are already counting the days before the resumption.

REPORTAGE

No more fitness, swimming or squash for at least 15 days.

In Lille, athletes will have to take their troubles patiently.

The closure of sports halls and swimming pools was announced early Friday afternoon and takes effect this weekend.

In sports centers, employees spent their afternoons on the phone, warning each client one by one of the cancellation of lessons and training.

At the end of the line, the customers were a little disillusioned.

"They are shocked because they did not expect such a rapid closure", explains an employee of the badminton and squash club of Arbonnoise.

"It's rough, we had prepared to close on Monday"

They are not the only ones.

Marie, co-manager of the sports center, was also surprised by this tight timing.

"It's tough, we had prepared to close on Monday. So learning the day before at 3 pm that we have to close the next morning, yes, it's hard. It's a little lack of respect for our activity. "

"We are all disappointed that it closes. We all want to practice sports. It's a bad time to go."

Some customers are already considering playing elsewhere during these two-week restrictions.

For the moment, they will have to leave the Lille metropolis to continue practicing.
