"The Senate should not serve this vacant position until the American people elect their next president and next congress," according to a statement posted on Biden's website.
According to him, voters have one chance to have their voice heard about who will work in court.
It clarifies that Barrett criticized the opinion of the majority, led by Chief Justice John Roberts, who supported the Affordable Care Act.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump nominated Amy Barrett for the post of Supreme Court Justice.
