500 dirhams and 4 points as a fine for truck driving during fog in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Police decided to stop the movement of trucks, heavy vehicles and buses from driving on the internal and external roads of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the formation of fog until the visibility clears.

It stated that it will violate buses moving on the roads during the formation of fog with a fine of 500 dirhams and four traffic points according to Ministerial Resolution No. 178 of 2017 regarding traffic control rules and procedures in accordance with Article 104 “Traffic in fog times in violation of the instructions of the concerned authority.”

She explained that this measure contributes to enhancing traffic safety, in order to preserve everyone by avoiding accidents within the scope of the strategic priority to make the roads safer.

It urged drivers of heavy vehicles, trucks and buses to abide by the decision to prevent their driving in fog.
