25 September 2020 After a wait of 14 years for over 100 thousand private health workers, the contract is released after the vote of the Assembly of Aiop, the Italian association for private hospitals and the ok of Aris, an association of religious health institutions.

"An overly long dispute ends and a new season of investments opens.



In the National Health Service, people are always the most important resource", says with satisfaction the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, who participated in the Aiop Assembly.   



"A historical page has been written for the Italian Healthcare. Finally, the workers of the private law component are recognized the same rights as those of the public law component, confirming the full and concrete integration of the two souls of the National Health Service ", exults the national president of the Italian Private Hospital Association (Aiop) Barbara Cittadini, commenting on the ratification of the pre-agreement for the renewal of the contract for non-medical personnel of private health, which took place during the General Assembly and on the occasion of the National Council of Aiop.   



This of private health was one of the open contractual fronts and the fact that the deadlock has been overcome generates great satisfaction in the unions: 14 years of waiting and 3 of negotiations;

Aiop and Aris who had not signed the pre-agreement of last June 10;

the strike of 16 September just ended.

And to underline it is the general secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini: "The positive conclusion of this long and complex dispute - affirms the leader of the CGIL - is the result of the struggle of workers and private health workers and introduces the equalization of treatment between public health workers and those who work in accredited structures ".

"It is now necessary to open a new season for the renewal of all public and private contracts that affect more than ten million male and female workers in our country".     



Good news for the general secretary of the CISL, Annamaria Furlan.

"Now - he says - more investments are needed to strengthen our entire health system after so many years of indiscriminate cuts, using the resources of the Mes without delay and hesitation".

And he adds: "The truly commendable commitment of the Minister of Health, Speranza, who supported the positive closure of this dispute with determination and consistency, together with the President of the Conference of the Regions, Bonaccini, must be recognized."   



"Now, out of time, we await the call for the signature on the final text. We will monitor the correct application of all the provisions of the new CCNL, company by company", underline the general secretaries of the FP CGIL, Serena Sorrentino, of the CISL FP, Maurizio Petriccioli , and of Uil Fpl, Michelangelo Librandi.

While the private health manager of Nursind nurses Romina Iannuzzi, "despite this important result, our battle does not stop - concludes the trade unionist - we will be in the streets in Rome next October 15 to raise awareness of the need to enhance the nursing profession".
