It was on March 5 that a woman alerted the police.

She had been looking for her friend, and when she went to her friend's apartment, she found her dead, with a large number of injuries to her body.

The next day, the police arrested a 37-year-old man, and he was later prosecuted for the murder.

Today the verdict was handed down: Forensic psychiatric care with special discharge review.

- I know the outcome but have not read the whole verdict yet, and I have not had time to talk to my client.

We will go through the verdict together, says lawyer Mats Dahlgren.

Convicted of several crimes - released from harassment

The man is also convicted of aggravated assault and attempted murder, two crimes committed the day before the murdered woman was found.

He was also charged with harassment, but was acquitted on that point.

May appeal parts of the judgment

The 37-year-old has denied both murder, attempted murder and harassment.

However, he has admitted abuse of the normal degree.

Now it may be relevant to appeal the verdict, according to the man's lawyer.

- He denies certain parts and I can imagine that we may appeal precisely those parts.

But I must first consult with my client and go through the reasons for the judgment, says Mats Dahlgren.
