The emperor of China used it ... a teapot sold for 468,000 pounds

A small teapot was sold at an auction house for £ 468,000, after this small jug had been in a box for more than a decade in a garage.

But during the closure period due to the Corona virus, its owner, who did not reveal his name, disposed of many things in the box, including the jug, and decided to reveal its value.

It turns out that the Chinese ewer is 250 years old and dates back to the reign of the Chinese Emperor Qianlong from 1735 to 1796, and it was probably used by the emperor himself.

There are only three other pitchers like him, two in Beijing and one in Taiwan.

"I was thinking of sending all the things I intend to dispose of to the charity store, but then came the closing period," said the 51-year-old owner of the jug from the British city of Debershire.

I always thought this teapot was special, ”he added.“ We believe it was brought from China to the United Kingdom by my grandfather, who was stationed in the Far East during World War II.

My mother used to display it in a private locker. ”

The owner of the jug saw similar things to his kettle on the Internet, then took it to an online auction in Derby.

Then it attracted the attention of many people around the world, and was sold to a Chinese person whose name has not been revealed.

"It's the best thing I've found from the closing period," said auctioneer Charles Hanson.
