The prosecutor had prosecuted Gävleimamen's son for violating his duty to report to the police on three occasions.

On one occasion he did not arrive at all, on the second occasion two hours late and on the third six minutes late.

The government has decided to deport Imam Abo Raad and his son and four other people because they are considered a threat to national security.

Since they cannot be deported and cannot be detained, they have a duty to report to the police.

Denies intent

The son has admitted that he arrived late, but has denied intent.

His explanation for the first time was that he had made a mistake on the date.

The second was that he was delayed by a road work when he was in Stockholm.

The third was due to the fact that he did not arrive due to a bus stopping at a large body of water and causing a traffic stop.

Acceptable reasons

On the first two occasions, the district court considers that there is no doubt that Gävleimamen's son has violated the duty to report.

On the third occasion, when he was six minutes late, the court considers that he has acceptable reasons for the delay and therefore has no intent.

The man is sentenced to a daily fine of a total of SEK 4,000.
