Egypt .. 112 new cases of "Corona" and 18 deaths

On Friday, the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced the registration of 112 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, and 18 deaths, compared to 138 cases and 13 deaths yesterday.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Khaled Mujahid, said in a statement that "the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Friday, reached 102,625 cases, including 93,531 cases that were cured, and 5853 deaths."

In mid-March, Egypt imposed general isolation measures to combat the outbreak of the virus, including night curfews, banning large public gatherings, and closing restaurants, theaters and cinemas.

But it has lifted most of these measures since late June.

In the latest easing of measures, the government recently allowed weddings and cultural events to be held in open places, starting today, Monday, September 21, after being banned for months in an effort to contain the spread of the virus.
