Dubai Police has issued 274 violations against marine craft since the beginning of this year

 The Ports Police Station at the Dubai Police has issued 274 violations against marine vessels from the beginning of this year until the current month of September, including 228 violations of jet skis and 46 violations of private and tourist vessels.

Colonel Saeed Al-Madhani, Director of the Ports Police Station, explained that the violations issued against the owners of jet skis were due to the expiration of licenses for their use, entry into prohibited places such as areas prepared for swimming and hotel beaches, in addition to non-compliance with the specified times for the use of water bikes from sunrise to sunset.

Colonel Al-Madhani confirmed that the water bike violations were distributed between the beach areas in Jumeirah and Al Mazzar, stressing that driving an expired water bike is a fine of 1000 dirhams, and that its use during unauthorized times is a fine of 2000 dirhams.

He called on jet ski users to abide by the laws and ensure the availability of public safety equipment such as life jackets, and regular maintenance, and to be careful not to approach private and tourist ships, adhere to the specified speeds that do not exceed 5 to 7 nautical miles, and not to load the bike beyond its capacity in order to preserve their lives And their safety, warning at the same time that the fine for not wearing public safety equipment on jet skis amounts to 3 thousand dirhams.

Colonel Al-Madhani pointed out that the violations related to tourist and private vessels varied between entering prohibited places, which amounted to 5 thousand dirhams, using the marine craft despite its expiration date and its fine of 1000 dirhams, and sailing in prohibited places in the emirate and the fine of 5 thousand dirhams.

He called on the owners of cruise and private vessels to ensure the need to ensure periodic maintenance, check the weather condition before going to the sea, and verify the availability of survival equipment on board, calling at the same time to activate / safely sail / service available in the smart application of Dubai Police in order to ensure the speed of response with Emergency cases, or call 999 in an emergency.

Colonel Al-Madhani stressed the high readiness of maritime security patrols in securing maritime navigation and monitoring violators, and the readiness of maritime rescue patrols in dealing with emergency maritime accidents and responding to them in the shortest possible time and 24 hours, in line with the directives of the Dubai Police General Command, stressing that Dubai Police personnel work for the happiness, security and safety of community members.
