25 September 2020The balance of the bad weather that hit the province of Varese yesterday, in particular in the municipality of Luvinate, is of a missing person and at least seven families evacuated.

At the moment, in fact, a runner who yesterday went into the woods to train is still missing, just before the start of a strong storm, following which a torrent flooded.

In the evening, specialists from Saf (Speleo Alpino Fluviale), Sapr (Remote Pilot Aircraft System) and Tas (Topography Applied to Rescue) intervened on site.

Also due to bad weather, two buildings and three villas, still in the municipality of Luvinate (Varese), were evacuated due to a landslide caused by the flooding of the stream.

Firefighters and civil protection helped seven resident families to move to the homes of acquaintances or to accommodation provided by the municipality.

Numerous requests for help, throughout the evening, for flooding and blackouts.
