According to the Ukrainian Independent News Agency, at 20:50 on September 25, local time, an An-26 military aircraft crashed near Kharkov in eastern Ukraine.

The Independent News Agency quoted Ukrainian President Zelensky’s official TELEGRAM account as saying that there were 28 people on board at the time. At least 20 people were confirmed to have died and 2 people were seriously injured. The search for other possible survivors is still ongoing.

In addition to the crew, there were cadets from the Ukrainian Kharkov Air Force School on board.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that the plane crashed during landing. At that time, the plane was undergoing flight training. The specific cause of the crash is still under investigation.
