Dubai Police recorded a violation of 10 thousand dirhams against an Arab interior designer who organized a party at her home without observing the public safety requirements and the necessary precautionary measures to limit the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid-19), especially social distancing and wearing masks with a group of media professionals and an Arab artist, after A party participant posted a video clip on a social networking site for the ceremony’s activities.
The Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Investigations at Dubai Police, Brigadier Jamal Salem Al-Jallaf, said that the Dubai Police summoned the woman after the video clip spread, and issued a financial violation against her, pursuant to the decision issued by the State Attorney No. 38 of 2020 regarding the application of the regulation for controlling violations and administrative penalties issued by her. Cabinet Decision No. 17 of 2020 regarding the regulation of controlling violations, precautionary measures, instructions and duties imposed to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
He explained that the list of violations of the precautionary measures stipulates in its fourth item a fine of 10 thousand dirhams for anyone who undertakes to hold gatherings, meetings, private or public parties, or gather in public places, farms, or estates.
He pointed out that Dubai Police summoned the media people and artist who participated in the ceremony and applied the decision of the State Attorney General regarding the list of violations of precautionary measures against them, including a fine of 5000 dirhams for participants in gatherings, meetings or parties that violate the preventive precautionary measures.
He stressed that Dubai Police will not tolerate anyone who violates the precautionary measures to prevent the Coronavirus, which aim to protect members of society and prevent them from the spread of infection, calling on members of the community to the importance of constant care to apply precautionary measures and maintain social distancing, and not to organize parties and events that would Contribute to spreading the Corona virus.
The Dubai Police General Command called on community members to report violations of the precautionary measures through the toll-free number 901 or through the "Eye of the Police" service on the Dubai Police's smart application on mobile phones.
