On Friday 25 September, the Swedish Sports Confederation arranges Sports Day in schools all over the country - and so also in Blekinge.

- This year, our goal is to reach the least active children.

It is important to arouse a desire for movement, because it benefits us throughout life, says Sofia Swartz.

Children across Europe are participating

This year's edition of Sports Day is organized in collaboration with schools from all over Blekinge, and each school has the opportunity to design the day in their own way.

- But the goal is for at least a couple of sports clubs to be present at each school during the day.

We want to build bridges between the school, the children and the sports movement.

The hope is that more children in Blekinge will discover the sport, says Sofia Swartz.

Sports Day is part of European School Sports Day and the EU's European Week of Sport initiative, which means that school children across Europe will participate in Sports Day at the same time.
