Three people have been
arrested
and six people
injured,
between agents and protesters, in an intervention by the
National Police
to prevent a group of protesters against the latest restrictive measures taken by the regional government from cutting off the Avenida de
Pablo Neruda
in Madrid, in front of the
Autonomous Assembly.
About 300 people have gathered as of 7:00 p.m. this Thursday, as in many other health centers in the region, at the Angela Uriarte health center, in Puente de Vallecas, against selective confinements and cuts in the public health system.
The spokesperson for
United We Can in the Assembly, Isa Serra,
participated in this concentration
.
Half an hour later, some of them, around 50, have descended towards the Madrid Assembly and, according to eyewitnesses have indicated to Europa Press, they have cut Pablo Neruda street, at the height of the regional Parliament, something that does not it was neither authorized nor communicated to the
Government Delegation.
Through images on social networks, it is seen how the National Police and riot police have dissolved this improvised concentration in front of the Madrid Assembly, located in the
Entrevías-Puente de Vallecas area.
After the concentration in the health center, the group marched with their complaints towards the Assembly - located just 500 meters from the health center - where the Police have intervened.
According to police sources, three people have been detained who have charged the security forces by
throwing stones at them.
The spokesperson for
Más País
in Congress,
Íñigo Errejón
, has appealed through social networks to the Government to explain "the different treatment of those who are concentrated in Vallecas or in Núñez de Balboa.
In the same way, the mayor of Más Madrid
Jorge Castaño
has spoken
on Twitter, who has pointed out that "beyond ethical issues or the obvious difference in trafficking with other mobilizations, this is an enormous political blunder."
He has snapped at the Government Delegate, José Manuel Franco, that there are "positions that are incompatible, one cannot be a Government Delegate and General Secretary of the socialist party in Madrid."
This Thursday, with the slogan
#LosBarriosSeLevantan,
the Regional Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Madrid (FRAVM) had promoted concentrations in more than 50 health centers in the Community of Madrid to demand the improvement of Primary Care, the hiring of trackers, opening of green areas or the reinforcement of public transportation.
Just as they have shown their rejection of the current selective confinements, considering them "unfair, segregating, stigmatizing and, furthermore, not very effective from a health point of view."
Currently there are restrictions in 26 sanitary areas of the districts of the capital of
Carabanchel, Usera, Villaverde, Villa de Vallecas, Puente de Vallecas and Ciudad Lineal, and 11 of the towns of Fuenlabrada, Humanes, Moraleja de Enmedio, Parla, Getafe , San Sebastián de los Reyes and Alcobendas.
Although the Community of Madrid has indicated that it is studying mobility restrictions in other parts of the region that will foreseeably be announced this Friday, September 25.
