A 31-year-old man drowned on Wednesday morning in Lake Joy, in Monlaur-Bernet, reports

The thirty-something had come to fish with his eight-year-old son in this village in the south of the department, bordering the Hautes-Pyrénées.

The child called the fire department when he did not see his father come up.

The helpers quickly found the father of the family, but they were unable to revive him.

A gendarmerie investigation was opened to try to determine the circumstances of this tragedy, which took place in a private lake.
