- We have a high teacher qualification in the village schools and they are good at teaching in B-form.

This is one of the reasons why we want to keep all schools, says the education committee's chairman Johan Fredholm (M), in a statement published on the municipality's website.

An official investigation suggested, among other things, that schools could be closed.

The schools that were relevant were Bruksvallarna, Vemdalen, Ytterhogdal and Lillhärdal.

But politicians have not been particularly pleased to have to make such a decision, so they have tried to find other solutions.

On November 30, the municipal council in Härjedalen will make a decision on the school issue and there is now an overwhelming majority for the proposal that all schools in the municipality should remain.

Since the investigation - where the closure of village schools was an option - there has been a lot of concern in the villages.

SVT met earlier this week students in Ytterhogdal, a parent in Bruksvallarna and two politicians, they
