Midwife: "A very successful venture"

In recent years, the Västerbotten Region has received special money from the government to improve maternity care.

Among other things, several pelvic floor teams were started.

- More women are getting help than before, so this is a very successful venture, says Hanna Nyström who is Region Västerbotten's coordinating midwife and care developer.

But the pelvic floor team in Skellefteå says that they would also like to start helping women who already have problems.

And Katarina Larsson, who suffered a very severe birth injury, is critical of the fact that it took time and was complicated to get help.
