Swedish AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for coronavirus, the Italian football club announced Thursday.

"Ibrahimovic tested positive in a test carried out before the match (Thursday) between Milan and Bodo / Glimt" in the Europa League, the Lombard club said in a statement.

"We informed the competent authorities and the player was immediately placed in solitary confinement at his home. All other samples came out negative," continues AC Milan.

"Ibra", 38, has scored three goals in two appearances this season, including a brace for the resumption of the Italian Championship against Bologna last weekend.

Another AC Milan player, Brazilian Leo Durante, tested positive on Wednesday.

AC Milan will face Norwegian club Bodo / Glimt at San Siro on Thursday in the third qualifying round of C3.
