It was at the end of August that a man in his 30s came into the hospital in Växjö with serious stab and cut injuries.
A technical investigation was carried out at the crime scene, Hjalmar Petris väg in Växjö, and a 19-year-old man was arrested and detained on suspicion of the crime.

The preliminary investigation is now closed by the prosecutor, as there is not enough evidence to bind the suspect to the crime.

No one else is suspected of the crime, and despite Kristoffer Nordström believing that the 19-year-old is guilty of the attempted murder, the preliminary investigation is closed.
- There are no further investigative measures that I can take at the moment that would make the suspicion sharper.
Therefore, I have to close the preliminary investigation.
Still in custody
The 19-year-old is still in custody on suspicion of violence against an official, after he allegedly beat a prison guard.
The district court must decide whether the criminal suspicions are sufficient for the man to remain in custody.
The man is already suspected of a serious violation of the knife law.
