• Congress: The candidate of Vox in Catalonia will defend the motion of censure of Santiago Abascal

  • Profile Ignacio Garriga, Vox's bet against accusations of racism

The leader of Vox in

Catalonia

, Ignacio Garriga, is the one chosen by Santiago Abascal to defend the motion of censure against Pedro Sánchez in Congress.

A recognition of the weight that he has gained internally, he was the coordinator of the Basque and Galician campaigns, and of the importance that Vox gives to the next Catalan elections, where he could enter the Parliament with four deputies.

You are going to defend a motion of censure condemned to failure and that many believe will end up reinforcing Sánchez ... That is the photo presented by the Popular Party, which out of sheer cowardice does not dare to support it. Married is the great cover of Sánchez. Arrimadas is his accomplice. The motion offers the 350 deputies the option to choose between the responsibility of freeing ourselves from the worst government for the worst crisis or sanchista ruin. The motion is a matter of loyalty. To whom? To the many Spaniards who are willing to evict this illegitimate government founded on lies, which has led them to ruin, causing the closure of businesses and an increase in unemployment, and death with its dire management of the crisis. I am convinced that Sánchez will be the first president to be tried for high treason. For his management of the coronavirus crisis? He is taking advantage of the crisis to carry out his hidden agenda. Look at the pardons for the independence prisoners. I am convinced that he is going to reform sedition in the Penal Code to shorten the penalties. They are a mafia that by approving the Budgets and remaining in their armchair are capable of anything. We are witnessing how the Government advances towards a change of regime, with its attacks on the Judiciary, the King ... A process that we must avoid with the motion of censure You will defend the motion but they have not clarified whether the candidate for president will be Abascal ... We have the best possible candidate, which is Abascal. But it is not decided yet. The purpose of the motion is to dismiss Sánchez, not to reinforce Vox. The latest polls indicate that Vox would enter the Parliament with four deputies, but that constitutionalism would be below the symbolic 50% of the votes. Cs raises a unitary candidacy with the PP. Would you be willing to study it? We could not be in a coalition that would represent decades of failed policies in the face of separatism. Among other reasons, because Ciudadanos and PP are not willing to get out of the progressive and nationalist consensus, with gender ideology, feminism, historical revisionism ... Nor are they willing to outlaw parties that with public money attempt against the unity of Spain What do they offer besides ensuring that the law is applied? Catalonia is today a fractured society, with broken social ties ... We are going to lead the authentic opposition to separatism after the PSC and PP have spent 40 years trading with nationalism to sit in La Moncloa, with constant cessions and violation of rights fundamental. PSC, PP and also Ciudadanos have been responsible for separatism in full rebellion. That said, the situation in Catalonia is going to force us to years of perseverance, work in the streets and the institutions to fight the battle of ideas. The State of the autonomies is a system that has expired - we have seen it in the management of the pandemic - and has broken the principle of equality and solidarity among Spaniards. There must be a greater presence of the State and its symbols in Catalonia. It is also urgent that the Government regain certain powers because, otherwise, we will never be able to defeat separatism. Which ones: Security or education. The nationalists have controlled the schools, where they inoculate hatred to the new generations, as seen in the evolution of the vote among the new generations. How they also control the media. TV3 must be closed, among other things due to deficit. It talks about outlawing nationalist parties. That would practically empty the Parliament! It does not make sense that there are parties that feed on public funds with the sole objective of breaking Spain and dynamiting the constitutional regime. They must give up breaking the unity of the nation and its political agenda of violation of fundamental rights. The best inheritance we receive from our grandparents is a homeland and we cannot renounce it. We have the right to defend Spain. Can't this strategy of head-on clash radicalize and give more arguments to the independence movement? The idea of injury and victimhood has always been one of its emotional fuels ... The only thing that aims to avoid the shock is to deactivate the unapologetic denunciation of nationalist outrages and that many Catalans, Galicians, and Basques may not realize that they have had their rights hijacked for decades. They would discover that they can recover, for example, economic freedom, because nationalism squeezes taxes out of the middle classes to continue financing their radical agenda and their institutions. The debate in Catalonia continues to revolve only around the 'procés', when the economic devastation It is brutal, with the departure of Nissan, the fall in tourism ... What is Vox's economic program? It is urgent to reduce political and ideological spending to give direct social aid. It is inadmissible that spending on consultants, subsidies for the independence party continues to increase ... We will also eliminate inheritance and donation taxes, because they penalize savings. Lowering taxes will generate more economic activity and, therefore, more employment.
