Identity and Nationality: Resuming the issuance of Entry Permits
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship announced the resumption of work regarding the issuance of various visas with the exception of work permits, starting today, 24 September 2020.
The authority stated that the resumption of entry permits issuance processes comes within the framework of easing restrictions and strengthening the state's efforts towards supporting recovery plans and supporting the wheel of growth in conjunction with enabling the work system based on achieving a vital balance between preventive measures and measures on the one hand, and the return of the tourist and economic climate and various developmental aspects on the other hand. .
The authority indicated that the decision came in response to the current data represented in the package of precautionary measures and travel mechanisms taken by the air transport sector, as well as the application of various practices aimed at limiting the consequences of the outbreak of the "Covid-19" virus.
It is noteworthy that the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship had issued a decision last March to temporarily suspend the issuance of all visas except for diplomatic passport holders, out of the responsibility that the UAE has towards the international community and its efforts to combat the spread of this pandemic.
