Activists on social media circulated pictures of a medical team that succeeded in extracting a mobile phone from a patient's stomach at Benha University Hospital, Egypt.

According to television statements, of a member of the medical team, the patient swallowed the phone after making a bet with his friends, and he thought he was able to extract it again easily.

The doctor explained that the patient was lucky because this is the first time that he swallowed a phone, without the battery's chemical materials interacting with stomach acids, which in turn lead to an ulcer and then explode.

He pointed out that he submitted a report to the hospital's police station, so that you would open the phone and inquire about it on security, as it was closed and wrapped with brown tape, which prevented its interaction with stomach acids and saved the young man from possible death.

The doctor did not expect to find a mobile phone in the patient’s stomach, even after seeing the x-rays, as he said, “The last moment I was saying (I say) the x-rays had something wrong (something wrong), until we got him out (until we took the phone out of his stomach)!”
