In the home where the detonation occurred early on Thursday morning, a man in his 20s is written.

According to SVT's experience, the same man is suspected of involvement in the shooting at a petrol station in Gränby on 20 July.

That incident is classified as attempted murder and shots were fired at a car, but no one is said to have been hit.

The man in his 20s was arrested and detained as a suspect in the shooting - but was set free by Uppsala District Court.

Prosecutor Christer Sammens, who is leading the preliminary investigation, does not know about Thursday's explosion when SVT calls.

But he says the man in his 20s is still a suspect.

- My investigation of that incident continues and it is clear that we will look at connections, says Christer Sammens.

To be questioned

Police spokesman Jonas Eronen confirms that there is a person living at the address in Gränby where the explosion occurred that may have links to other acts of violence that took place in the Gränby area in the near future, but he does not want to specify it further.

The man who is written at the address is unharmed and will be questioned.

- We have to check certain things, but these connections can take the investigation forward - there is something to start from, unlike if it had been a random explosion.

"Elevation temperature"

The situation among the criminal gangs in Gränby is described as tense.

- The temperature has risen since the beginning of the summer.

We have a decent view of the people in the networks, but at the same time they are mobile and the loyalties change - so it is difficult for us to work with.

Do you see the explosion as revenge?

- In any case, it is some form of exercise of power, if it is a criminal conflict.

Can one fear that it will continue?

- I do not know, but there is no quick fix.

We will probably have to adjust to the fact that it will get worse before it gets better.

The bombing on Thursday morning is classified as a general destruction.
