The Paris court opened on August 26 an investigation for complicity in crimes against humanity, genocide and acts of torture and barbarism, targeting the French bank PNB Paribas, after the filing of a complaint by several NGOs , including the International Federation for Human Rights.

NGOs obtained this summer the opening of an investigation in France targeting the French bank BNP Paribas, accused of "complicity in crimes against humanity" in Sudan, the International Federation for Human Rights announced on Thursday (FIDH ) on Twitter.

On 09/16/19, 9 Sudanese victims, with the support of FIDH and @ExpediteJustice, filed a complaint against @BNPParibas for alleged complicity in crimes against humanity, torture and genocide, and financial crimes.

This judicial investigation was opened on August 26 at the Paris court for complicity in crimes against humanity, genocide and acts of torture and barbarism, almost a year after the filing of a complaint with constitution of party civil rights by FIDH, the Human Rights League (LDH) and nine Sudanese activists, a judicial source confirmed.
