The numbers in Italy and in the world



Cases of contagion from Covid-19 in Italy and deaths are increasing compared to yesterday. There are today 23 deaths and 1,786 new cases with 1,097 discharged and recovered. The swabs carried out in the last 24 hours are 108,019.



The hospitalized with symptoms in Italy are a total of 2,731, 73 more than yesterday. In intensive care there are 246, up by two. 43,803 people in home isolation, 591 more than yesterday. The total of the currently positive is 46,780.

In Lazio 230 cases and zero deaths


"Out of about 10 thousand tampons in Lazio today there are 230 cases - of these 148 are in Rome - and zero deaths. The RT value is 0.85". This is what the regional health councilor, Alessio D'Amato, affirms. of 6,027 swabs processed in the last 24 hours. This was communicated by the regional crisis unit. The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded since the beginning of the emergency to date rises to 11,102 out of 559,258 swabs carried out. There are no new cases of death (the total remains 457 deceased) but 105 recovered in the last 24 hours (the total 5,488).



In Emilia-Romagna 99 new positive cases


Out of more than 11 thousand swabs made in Emilia-Romagna, 99 new positive cases were recorded. The average age of new cases is 48 years. At the time of the swab, 47 were already in solitary confinement. The active cases are 4,627 (+14), 95% in isolation at home with mild symptoms. The admissions to intensive care were stable, 20 in all. These are in summary the data communicated by the Emilia-Romagna region. Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic - the Region communicates - 34,711 cases of positivity have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 99 more than yesterday, of which 56 asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and screening activities. In fact, the control and prevention activity continues: of the 99 new cases, 47 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution and 47 were always identified in the context of already known outbreaks. There are 7 new infections linked to returns from abroad, for which the Region has provided two nasopharyngeal swabs during fiduciary isolation if arriving from non-Schengen countries and one swab if returning from Greece, Spain, Croatia and Malta . The number of cases returning from other regions is 9. The average age of new positives today is 48. Out of 56 new asymptomatic patients, 31 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 17 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 8 thanks to pre-hospitalization screening. Unfortunately, there is a new death: an 88-year-old man from the province of Reggio Emilia.



In Sardinia, 66 new cases and three deaths


In Sardinia the latest bulletin of the regional crisis unit reports 66 new cases of Covid-19 and three deaths, bringing the number of deaths from the beginning of the emergency to 148 and the total of infections ascertained to 3,471. The number of hospitalized patients (+12) in non-intensive care is also increasing. The death toll includes two patients who died in intensive care in Sassari and Cagliari and the 33-year-old young man from Isili, in home isolation, who yesterday was rushed to the Santissima Trinità hospital.
