Storuman has for several years been able to report positive results and so it looks like it will be again this year, but margins are shrinking.

Because at the same time as the municipality's company is doing well, several committees are struggling with the economy.

Leisure, culture and the education committee are struggling and the care committee looks to go nine million minus.

- This includes increased costs in the home care service, says Karin Malmfjord (S) who is vice chairman of the municipal board.

Concerns about the future

Malmfjord is also worried about the coming years, as she sees many major challenges for the municipality.

Also, no one knows what the corona pandemic will mean.

- We look with concern at companies that have to give notice and what it means in the long term with, for example, tax revenues.
