Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services has introduced 100 advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices to save cardiac arrest cases, at a cost of five million dirhams, according to the Foundation's executive director, Khalifa Al Drai, who explained that the devices are the most modern in the world, and were donated by a citizen family.

In a press statement during the announcement of the new devices, Al-Dray said that the Foundation has received 50 devices in a first payment, and will receive 50 other devices early next November, and all crews and ambulances will be provided with them, to enable them to aid the souls of people who are exposed to heart arrest.

According to Al-Dray, the new devices are more accurate and professional than traditional CPR, and the CPR period is shortened to less than a minute and the survival rates are increased.

He added that this initiative comes to protect the lives of individuals, preserve their lives, and save heart patients, and what they are exposed to in terms of seizures, dangerous strokes, or deep coma.

Dubai Ambulance received the new devices from an Emirati family with which it supported the first line of defense in the organization as a national initiative that comes within the framework of the commitment to the responsibility of the private sector towards the country to support the great efforts made by the various concerned agencies in the country to confront the emerging Corona virus (Covid-19).

He explained that the modernization of the institution’s equipment and the development of its medical devices in cooperation with partners and supporters comes within the framework of improving the capabilities of paramedics, facilitating the rescue of critical cases, facilitating the speed of response and treating chronic diseases in ways that are professional and appropriate for patients ’cases, especially those with difficult diseases such as heart, kidney and diabetes patients, pointing out that this It comes in implementation of government directives to please people and meet their needs, and to apply the best internationally approved standards to ensure a speedy response and to ensure rapid intervention to save those attacked by violent heart attacks that need resuscitation within a few seconds because it may mean the difference between life and death.
