Wave after wave of debris and plastic has spilled onto the beach in Omoa, Honduras. Authorities have traced the debris to the Motagua River, just a few miles across the border with Guatemala, and now demand that the neighboring country take up the debris. - We can not allow another country to harm us in so many ways, says Mayor Ricardo Alvarado.
In addition to the damage to the environment, many in the tourist-dependent Honduras are worried that many tourists will be deterred.
