The trial of a visitor who molested a child in front of his father in a shopping mall
The Dubai Criminal Court has begun the trial of a visitor of the nationality of an Asian country, for harassing a four-year-old child in front of his father in one of the emirate's largest commercial centers, which are completely covered by surveillance cameras.
The child's father, who works as a nurse, said that he was accompanied by his son in the mall near the public benches in a corner of the center, and the accused came and said to him “Your son is beautiful” several times, then grabbed the child and raised him under the pretext of playing with him, then the father was shocked by what the accused did, He was distraught and shouted at him "What are you doing?" And then the accused ran away.
He added that he informed the security guards of the incident, and the accused was arrested and recorded a criminal report against him, pointing out that the accused appeared fully aware when he was speaking to him, and that one of the father's friends was present and saw the details of the incident.
For his part, the accused admitted in the police inference report and the investigations of the Public Prosecution that he had committed his act, as stated in the report of the General Department of Criminal Evidence in Dubai Police, regarding examining the recordings of the surveillance cameras covering the area of the incident, when the accused embraced the child several times, then showed him while he was carrying out an indecent behavior outside About public morals, and quickly left the place.
The Dubai Public Prosecution charged the accused with the felony of forced indecency and referred him to the criminal court.
