Ötillö is a large swim competition that annually attracts hundreds of participants and spectators to the Stockholm archipelago.

This year, the competition would kick off with coron adaptations that would reduce the crowds.

But the police have now made it clear to the organizers that the event is not sufficiently adapted to the corona restrictions.

The organizers had first received a permit from the police but then did not get their details written in the permit - to let 50 people start at a time at 15 minute intervals during the five races this weekend.

On Tuesday, just four days before the competition, the organizer spoke to the police in the local area who said that it could not be done in that way.
