The Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Abdel Fattah Mashat, announced that allowing citizens and residents from inside and outside Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and visit will include health requirements and certificates before coming to the Kingdom.

Mashat said in statements to Al-Akhbariya TV yesterday that all four stages of permitting the performance of Umrah and the announced visit will be subject to continuous evaluation by the Ministry of Health and the concerned authorities.

He explained that, according to the developments of the "Corona" pandemic, there will be some additional measures and measures that may somewhat change the operating mechanism on the ground.

Mashat stressed that "there will be coordination and cooperation with all concerned parties", explaining that the success of the plan is linked to everyone's commitment to instructions and precautionary measures.

He pointed out that before the third stage, which includes permitting the performance of Umrah, visiting and prayers for citizens and residents from inside and outside the Kingdom, the authorities responsible for the health requirements and certificates that must be obtained before coming to the Kingdom will be announced.

And the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Muhammad Saleh bin Taher, announced the day before yesterday that he would allow performing Umrah, entering the Grand Mosque and visiting the honorable kindergarten in Medina "gradually", starting from next October 4.

The minister said in a statement, published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), that the authorities allowed “to perform Umrah, enter the Grand Mosque and visit the honorable kindergarten gradually, while following the highest health standards and the strictest precautionary measures,” indicating that this decision “came out of the leadership’s interest in serving guests The Most Merciful, and its keenness to facilitate the arrival of Muslims from all parts of the world to perform the rituals of Umrah and visit in a safe and healthy manner and in a manner that preserves human health ».
