Ljunghäll molds details for the automotive industry, for trucks and cars.

It looked really dark for a while at the beginning of the pandemic.

- We were rock hard because our customers shut down their production, says Lars Hagelberg, CEO of Ljunghäll.

In the first stage, they used short-term layoffs, but it was not enough.

The next step was a strong warning.

About 130 people were told that they would be fired.

Everything turned around in June

The first ones should have gone home in the middle of June but then everything turned around.

Customers who closed their factories started up again and demand increased.

- Everyone we offered a re-employment is back again.

Only a few refused because they found other jobs.

Hiring more

The great demand has led to Ljunghäll being able to employ more people, more specifically around 30 people.

- We were taken to bed because it went so fast.

What our customers said during the corona crisis and the closures was that it thought there would be a reduction in demand afterwards, but this has not happened.
