Emmanuel Macron must define his strategy against "separatism" on October 2, before the presentation of a bill in the fall.

The speech is eagerly awaited, while Emmanuel Macron has made the file one of the priorities at the end of his five-year term.

On October 2, the President of the Republic will define his strategy against "separatism", in particular radical Islam, before the presentation of a bill in the autumn.

While we do not yet know all the contours of the bill, in the meantime, at the Ministry of the Interior, we continue to work on the subject.

Strengthen the monitoring capacity of associations

We must strengthen the monitoring capacity of associations and, if necessary, be able to close those suspected of separatism.

And to create new transparent financial circuits, the intention is to change the financing aspect of the 1905 law without touching the founding principle of the separation between religions and the State.

The subject is sensitive.

To prepare the spirits, the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin explains moreover in a small committee: "We have groomed the law of 1905 already 17 times".

Another point concerns the rules of neutrality of public service employees.

Measures are also planned to preserve and strengthen secularism in sports.
