It was at the end of August that the 19-year-old was arrested and detained on suspicion of the attempted murder on Hjalmar Petris väg in Växjö.
Now he is also suspected of violence against an official since he allegedly beat his guard in the prison in Jönköping.
- He was going to go to the toilet and when the guard took him to the toilet, he started beating and kicking around without any clear explanation, and despite the fact that he and the guard clicked earlier, prosecutor Kristoffer Nordström says.
The prison guard must have received a couple of fist blows to the face and must also have received kicks to the legs, according to the police's arrest memorandum.
But according to the prosecutor, he should not have received any serious injuries.
In addition to the 19-year-old being detained on probable cause on suspicion of attempted murder, he is now also reasonably suspected of violence against an official, which has been added as a reason for his arrest.
- He had to be moved to a security detention center in Gothenburg, but I think he has been moved again due to bad behavior, says Kristoffer Nordström.
The 19-year-old has previously denied any wrongdoing in connection with the attempted murder, but did not want to comment on the new criminal suspicions according to the arrest memorandum.
